ETA: I got a bunch of requests for folders and stickers. So the following bloggers need to email me their mailing addresses and we will figure out the details: CarolinaPrep
With the 25% coupon (enter code FRIENDS2008 EXP:11/25) I got this dress
I am not really sure I could pull it off with the shirt under but I love it as a dress without the added shirt
and my sisters and I got our mom this jacket for Christmas The best part about having two sisters? You can split the cost of presents so my mom gets a nice jacket and I only have to pay 1/3 of the price!
**I also picked up a few extra whale stickers and folders (similar to the patchwork totes, the folder has a bunch of different VV patterns) at the store so if you are interested just comment or email me and I can send you a sticker or folder :) I will send out the first batch and see if I have any stickers/folders left :)
Even though there is no GG on tonight, (probably just as well with all of the homework I have!) I am still doing Gossip Girl Monday.
If you haven't already, check out this site/blog. It is the "official" GG blog from the CW website, written from the perspective of Gossip Girl herself. You can even add it to your google reader! There are posts that summarize recent episodes, "spotted" posts, music, books, and everything GG related.
I already talked about my obsession with the music featured on the show. I especially love the Constance Billard school choir version of "Glamorous." I love this montage of everyone preparing for college, putting on their school uniforms and headbands (of course).
Mostly I love how the school choir is singing this not so appropriate song in their assembly. This reminds me of my high school. I still remember how my freshman year during some welcome event, the seniors sang to us "Move Bitch" by Ludacris. They changed the lyrics slightly but the message was pretty much the same. (M and N- do you remember that??) When we became seniors, we sang "Build Me up Buttercup" to the freshmen. So not the same!
PS-This version of Glamorous IS on the CD I posted last week
I think I may be the only person on this side of the country who wears rain boots in the snow. I see these girls on campus wearing loafers, ballet flats, etc and I just don't know how they do it! K sent me these (ON SALE for under $15!) rain boots that are obviously left over from the election . But I say hey, why not where these year round??
My mom and sister recently redecorated our family cabin in Sun Valley. Well they took my advice and made one of the bedrooms NAUTICAL! They didn't take many photos but here's a couple I found:
Mr. Rebates has just increased rebates for the holiday season so sign up if you want to save some $$$
Here's how it works (in case you didn't read my last post): Before you shop online at a specific store, just head over to Mr. Rebates and choose the store you want. Click on through and start shopping! Mr. Rebates tracks your purchases and you receive a portion back (the rebate-usually between 5-15% of your original purchase). You can request a check or have the money deposited in your paypal account. So easy!
Yesterday was our office Thanksgiving breakfast (umm yeah kinda odd). I had enough food for a huge breakfast (I woke up late and came hungry) and lunch. I guess just another perk working with the fed govt ;)
The next couple of weeks are going to be so stressful. I leave Tuesday night for California. Warm weather. Yes! I can't believe it is already Thanksgiving. Then just a week of classes, finals, and I am done with half of my senior year. Craziness!
I can't believe I am going to admit this BUT I am actually getting tired of all these sale emails. I mean I am having trouble keeping up with it all: who's offering free shipping, who is having a friends and family sale, and on and on. I wake up and have 54 emails that are JUST shopping! But I guess I will do my part to help the economy ;)
For today's Gossip Girl post, I'm going to talk about the music featured on the show. First, check out this site. An official CD has been released, "OMFGG" (Original Music From Gossip Girl). The music on this show is amazing! I have downloaded almost every song from the show.
I recommend buying the official CD (OMFGG) and then going from there. After you check out that CD, go here. This site has music by episode so you can find that song you can't get out of your head! Last week featured one of my favorite groups, Kings of Leon.
***Anonymous who commented about the initial necklace: The only info I am finding is that it is by Alex Woo and Blair has put two initials on one chain or wearing two necklaces. Look HERE. Email me or comment with your email and I'll send along some additional links ***
I was going to get the Fiona jacket but I decided to go with the Bella (in black/dark grey)
the color I got
Another view of the very cute collar
I was kinda disappointed with the outlet. Nothing with anchors! I was specifically looking for work tops but didn't find anything I loved. At Ralph Lauren I got a rugby with a pink collar.
I can't even describe how cute these are in person. I saw the J.Crew version this weekend-like 3 times the price! I have the Old Navy version in black AND white. I'm debating whether I want another color to add to my collection... ;)
Coldplay concert on Halloween, this past weekend's trip to the Outlets (J.Crew, RL, oh yes!), November plans and so much more! Stay tuned :)

Returned to Los Angeles after spending four years in DC for college. I spent a semester in Australia and loved life down under! I love shopping, traveling, and of course all things preppy! Now a full time nanny for Baby H.
