It's a date! (Valentine's Day recap)

During elementary and high school I had a Valentine's party almost every year. My mom and I would go to Pic n Save (now Big Lots) right after Christmas and stock up on fun Vday party favors and decorating supplies. Then after school during Vday week I would have my best friends come over for a Valentine's decorating party. So it was appropriate that I would spend this Valentine's Day with M, who attended those parties in the past.

My sister (and roommate) is in Vegas for the weekend and M's roommate K is in Florida (hope you had a good trip!) so M and I decided to have a sleepover. We went to see He's Just Not That Into You. Then we came back to my apartment and made my FAVORITE Barefoot Contessa pasta. It is even pink!

After dinner M made these delicious molten chocolate cakes for us.

Had to use the heart oven mitts of course!

Right out of the oven:

PBKids plates we used:

And Target placemats:

Finished Product (thanks M!)

We watched the Wedding Planner, gossiped about our high school (Sailor Spirit Squad??), and watched reruns of Friends and Sex and the City.

  5. Ok you NEED to see Shopaholic. Because in one scene she is wearing a necklace with a GIANT anchor charm. I thought of you-- and I don't even know you! haha!
