If you guessed that I saw a Gossip Girl star then you are correct! I haven't even been in New York 24 hours and I have had 2 celeb sightings!
My friends and I stopped into In God We Trust. The store is small and while I was browsing the racks I overheard the girl next to me talking. I thought she sounded familiar but was intent on finding something to wear to the Tuesday night meetup. The girl was trying to translate a word in Spanish. I told her "I think the word is..." and smiled so she didn't think I was some know it all eavesdropping. Well the girl was BLA*KE LIVE*LY! She smiled back and explained that she was searching for the slang version of this word (still not clear why but whatever). At this point I am thinking to myself: you and your big mouth should have stayed quiet! So then M came over with her iphone (remember-small store so she heard our convo) and we searched online (Bl*ake suggested some sites and so did her friend) but we couldn't find anything. My friends had NO CLUE who she was until later when we left and I told them. Bl*ake looked great and I couldn't believe how tall she is (rare for hollywood)! About my height, 5'10, (and I am pretty sure she wasn't wearing heels).
I am not sure if the girl at the cash register didn't recognize her or was just playing it cool but she asked Bl*ake what her name was when she was ordering something.
(oh and this was about 10 minutes after we saw Kir*sten Dun*st walk past us)
This was definitely a great way to start my weekend. Let's hope I see Blair and Chuck too ;)

ReplyDeleteWow that's pretty neat. She probably really appreciated your playing it cool and not hanging over her like a normal fan would. It must be hard getting all that attention, I don't understand how celebrities cope.
