Weekend Update (graduation, celebrities, Mother's Day, oh my!)

Friday we went to the Portrait Gallery and lunch at Zaytinya. My dad, stepmom, and cousin went to dinner at Palena while my mom and I caught up back at the hotel. It turned out that the White House Correspondents' Association dinner was being held at the same hotel so there were celebs galore! I saw everyone from Colin Fir*th (coming out of the elevator Saturday afternoon), James Fra*nco, and Jona*than Rh*ys Mey*ers to Colin Powell, Attor*ney General Eric Hol*der, and Kat*ie Cou*ric. Saturday: We had beautiful weather for graduation (finally!). I walked with my good friend E who is from the LA area too. I can't believe I am DONE/FINISHED/COMPLETE! Here I am with my mom:


Sunday we went to an amazing Mother's Day brunch at the Jockey Club. I think my mom and stepmom really liked the restaurant. They also did a free family portrait outside. I got my mom and stepmom each a picture frame to put a photo from graduation. I wore my new Alice + Olivia dress to brunch.

* I am getting my haircut this week-finally!

Afterward my dad and stepmom flew back to LA and I went to a couple of stores with my mom and sister.

I got these shorts and dress at Vineyard Vines. Perfect for the cruise!




I also got the Coach whale keyfob (though I think mine is blue, not black)

My mom left Monday morning. I miss everyone already!

    You look darling with your mom, too cute. And it is so funny, looking at the Vineyard Vines page this morning I was thinking, hhmm, I wonder if K knows about those shorts, that dress, the tees (I know you had to see them), but i hadn't seen the cute Coach keyring!

    Congratulations on your graduation. My daughter lives beside the hotel and she was telling me about all the celebrities she saw while she was walking her dog. It was a gorgeous night, too.

    I know you plan on leaving the city, but please keep writing about your adventures. This is a really exciting time for you!
