For some reason blogger was publishing my drafts before they were complete-sorry!
Last week our family dog of 13.5 years died. We were so very lucky that it was peaceful, quick, and in the comforts of our living room. No traumatic trip to the vet or months of pain. Jupi went for her usual walk the night before. She was able to say goodbye to all her best friends (animal and human). My mom, my neighbor, and I were all with her when she stopped breathing. I miss her so much but am so thankful for an amazing 13.5 years.

I'm so sorry to hear that. It is so hard loosing a family pet. My sister has 3 labs, and lost 2 in the same week two weeks ago. I dread the day with my pup.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year too!

ReplyDeleteIt must have been a year to lose long-living family dogs. I am not sure if you saw my entry from this summer (July) about our 13.5 yr old golden, Lady. I am so sorry you all lost your dog so close to the holidays, but maybe that is a blessing. It is hard and sad to deal with, I know, but after a few months, the crying will stop. It took me a good 5 months to let her go and I could stop crying, but then I was finally able to just enjoy her memory.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for Christmas, and the New Year <3
