1. Join sites like Mr. Rebates and Ebates (I ALWAYS check both and see which one has the higher percent back before I buy something). You get cash back from your online purchases at certain stores! How these sites work: Before you shop online at a specific store, just head over to Mr. Rebates and Ebates and choose the store you want. Click on through and start shopping! The sites track your purchases and you receive a percent back (the rebate-usually between 2-15% of your original purchase). You can request a check or have the money deposited in your paypal account. So easy and the money adds up quickly!
2. Never pay full price unless it is something you really really want and there is a risk it will sellout. Look up discount codes/promotions through sites like Retail Me Not and Promotioncode.org or just google the store name and coupon code or discount code. If you can't get a percent off at least try to get free shipping!
3. Take advantage of" buy online, pick up in store" if it is offered. This is great if you wouldn't be able to get free shipping or you are in a rush. Nordstrom, Barnes and Noble, and Best Buy are just a few of the stores that have this policy.

Great tips! I am a BIG fan of the "pick-up-in-store" features!

Thanks, Kate! I didn't know they had a buy online, pick up in store policy (I am kind of new to shopping online). Do you have any tips for sizing? I have twice ordered clothing online only to find out when it arrived that it wasn't the right size, so now I'm a bit skittish about online shopping.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips. This will come in handy.
