Aloha!

H "running" to the pool!

I'm back from my trip to Hawaii! I survived!!! Anyone who travels with a toddler deserves a giant pat on the back, a prize, or maybe a shopping trip ;) The only rough part was our flight home. H cut a new tooth during hour 2. Not so fun! Otherwise the trip itself was a lot of fun! I had a great time. The most relaxing of my work trips to date. H had the time of his life! He went swimming multiple times a day and loved running around the hotel (chasing roosters, watching the koi in pond, making new friends). Often traveling as a nanny is even more work (packing, flying, time changes, etc) and it drives me NUTS when parents say "well it's a vacation for our nanny too" or "we're paying for her airfare and hotel so she doesn't need any additional money." It is NOT a vacation for your nanny!!

I am so very lucky that I found a family that I enjoy traveling with. Don't get me wrong: it's still stressful and I still consider it WORK (duh)! But SO much better than past travel jobs! Here's to our next adventure (Mexico this fall?). Any recommendations for kid friendly vacation spots? Must have a great pool and be no more than 6 hour flight from LAX.

Our last dinner I wore the Lilly Pulitzer Caroline dress (I think that's the name). I love the bows on the front!

Windy by the beach! REALLY BAD hair day!

Wearing my favorite Lilly patchwork shorts!

Spotted two anchors!
