AnnaSophia Robb will star as a young Carrie Bradshaw coming of age in the 1980s. She'll be asking those same questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan. The show will hopefully be airing on the CW this fall!
I am especially excited that costume designer Eric Daman (original Sex and the City and Gossip Girl) will be doing the wardrobe for the Carrie Diaries. You know I LOVE the fashion on Gossip Girl and can't wait to see what he does for high school Carrie.
What do you think of AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie? Have you read the Carrie Diaries?
No way, so exciting! I enjoyed the book, I don't think it will be as fabulous as SATC, but I bet there will be a ton of fun 80s fashion.
ReplyDeleteI was so nervous about it and who they'd choose to play Carrie until I saw this photo of AnnaSophia-- I think she is just perfect and that outfit says it all! So excited now!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of AnnaSophia but she looks adorable in this photo. I fear this won't live up to the original show but will totally watch a few episodes just in case it's equally as awesome. Honestly, I wish they would just bring back a version of SATC with the original cast- just the later years.
ReplyDeleteI was definitely so nervous about who they would pick to be Carrie, but I am pleased with the decision and that the original costume designer is working on the show. I can't wait for it to start! xo
ReplyDeleteI love AnnaSophia Robb! I haven't read the book, but I probably will. I'm excited for the show!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how the show is! I will undoubtedly watch it like crazy. AnnaSophia looks exactly how I'd picture Carrie in this picture. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for the show and to see how they portray younger Carrie but I know deep down I probably won't love it as much as SATC but I'm definitely going to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteI'll be happy to get into a new "teenage" show. I dropped Gossip Girl a while back and never had a good replacement :)
