Spring (Break) Essentials

Post-school you don't really get a spring break! Or at least not the kind you had in college. I have taken spring trips for work the last two years but that is definitely not the same thing. This March I actually have a full week off of work! I decided to stay home and relax. Catch up on my dvr, organize my apartment, see friends, and just rest! But if I were going on a fun trip these are the things I would pack!

My Oscar Party

I love hosting an Oscar viewing party. I think it's more fun to watch with friends (I think we talk the whole time!). I reused a lot of the same decorations from last year. I couldn't find my cookie cutter (lost in my move I think) but my mom picked up cookies from Clementine (thanks, Mom). They were almost too pretty to eat! I had wanted to get photos of guests wearing the Hollywood glasses I found but everyone arrived at the same time and I forgot to encourage the glasses. Next year! It was great having blog friends Leeann and Brooke along with some nanny friends and my high school friends.

Last year I posted about a beautiful pink Katie Ermilio dress for Friday's Fancies. Not your traditional red carpet choice but in my Oscar dream I can wear what I want!
