Organizing: Cleaning Closet

I have a big pantry in my kitchen but it doesn't have any shelves. The previous renters asked to take the shelves out and used it to store other things. I don't need a bigger pantry so I just stored a few things in it but it was mostly empty. Then I saw these photos and knew what I wanted to do! I was previously storing my vacuum in my hall/coat closet but it took up a lot of room and meant my rain boots and uggs were just sort of thrown in on top. It made sense to move it to the cleaning closet
Such a poor use of space! Duster and mop, plastic bags, paper towels, and my apron

Still a work in progress but on its way! * I moved the paper towels to the under kitchen sink spot
Attached hooks to hold my mops/brooms/duster so they aren't falling over

Added some of the contact paper I blogged about before on the bottom

The TJ Maxx bag holds paper bags and reusable bags, the silver thing holds plastic bags

Where do you store your cleaning products? What else should I include in my space? I have room on the side for more hooks

  1. Wow.

Honestly, I am so impressed! The makeover makes it look super organized. I love that you added the contact paper as that just adds a bit of fun color on the bottom. I would add more hooks - maybe move your TJ Maxx reuseable bags to the top right inside wall of the closet. I would also raise up the hook your apron is on, too. Otherwise, looks so great to me.

    1. The apron isn't actually on a hook yet-it's just on the little thing where the shelf used to be. HA! I need to add hooks and a shelf but I haven't measured yet

  2. Much better. Definitely a hook for an umbrella! And what about one of those wire rack hangy things that you can put into showers but hang it off a hook and put little bits and pieces in it? Love your blog! :-)

    1. A hook for an umbrella is a great idea! Thanks!

I actually bought one of those shower hook things but I haven't put it up yet. I am not sure if I want to nail anything and it might be too heavy for one of the stick on hooks. I'll have to check!

  3. Looks great! I have a closet similar to that which I keep my trash can, recycling and come cleaning products in but I feel like I could utilize the space better

    1. I should add my trash can and recycling actually. I would need to move the stuff on the bottom to a shelf to do that. I am thinking about putting a shelf at the top

  4. I definitely need to invest in a plastic bag holder. Right now I have them stuffed in an old oatmeal container - SO classy!
