Thankful

I think after Thanksgiving dinner is the best time to reflect. I had posted earlier this year that I would be trying to write more personal posts, one a month. Well that didn't really happen. For many reasons but mostly because I didn't always want to stop and sit down to write. Throwing together a list of nautical stocking stuffers or sharing a nautical baby shower is a lot easier!

My 6 year blogversary was earlier this month. I completely forgot about it. You can read my first post here and my first Turkey day post here. Wow. At the time I was a college junior and I thought I was SO BUSY. I laugh now thinking how UNTRUE that was. Yes, I was a full time student with a part time job. But that is nothing compared to a 50+ hour a week job and the actual responsibilities that come with post-grad life. But I am thankful I have stuck with blogging. I will do so as long as I love it. I don't see it as work. It has been a way to make friends and to meet new people. Friday I am going to a concert with Leeann. We met through blogging. We both love The Vampire Diaries and decided to meet in person for an event years ago. The rest is history. My holiday card list is probably almost 200 people, all of whom I "know" through blogging. Pretty amazing I would say!

Of course I am also thankful for my family, a job I love, my apartment,  and all of the basics I am so lucky to have.

Hopefully my readers have had a wonderful day and start to the holiday season, filled with friends, family, happiness, and love.
