I am sure we will be doing the typical touristy things (Space Needle, Pike Place Market, etc) but I would love to hear your recommendations!
Here are some restaurants we are looking at. YAY or NAY if you have been!
Seattle- Zoe, Delancey, Skillet Dinner, Brave Horse Tavern, Lola, Crumble and Flake, Ballard Pizza Company, Hunger
Portland- Ned Ludd, Imperial, The Country Cat, Little Bird, Olympic Provisions
Vancouver- Hawksworth, Tableau, Nicli, The Red Wagon, Pourhouse, La Taqueria Pinche Taco Shop
Let me know your favorite restaurants, things to do, neighborhoods to explore!
I went to Seattle last summer and had a blast! Check out Purple Wine Bar.
ReplyDeleteWill add it to my list! Thank you!
DeleteAmazing! I have no recommendations, but I can't wait to see the pictures.

I'm a born and bred Vancouverite, so I have a list out the ying-yang of favourite places to go, eat, shop, etc. that I would LOVE to send you. That being said, I haven't heard about any of those restaurants ever so I can't "yay" or "nay" them, which may say something in and of itself. So excited for you to venture to the Canadian West Coast! Perhaps we'll be in town at the same time!
ReplyDeleteIf you have time to send my any of your favorites I would really appreciate it! I will be there April 12- 14.
DeleteWhenever people ask me for recommendations in LA I always have to ask other people because I am not hip or trendy and I am definitely not a foodie (actually a picky eater). The list I put in my post is from my sister. I haven't had time to look anything up yet. She usually tries to find places that have a lot of buzz. As long as the food is good I'm happy!
I had such a blast in Portland! Here's everything we did: http://notintentonarriving.blogspot.com/search/label/West%20Coast%20Wedding%20Extravaganza. (The first three entries from the top.)
ReplyDeleteI especially loved Kenny & Zuke's Delicatessen; Meat, Cheese, Bread (get the green bean sandwich! It was SPECTACULAR!); McMenamin's Kennedy School (if you're looking for a hotel, I would loved to have stayed there); and Salt and Straw ice cream. And yeah, Voo Doo Doughnut was out of this world! Have such an amazing trip - I would love to go to Seattle and Vancouver one day. I can't wait to hear all about your time there!
Thank you for the recommendations!! I will bookmark your blog posts
DeleteNot sure if your trip will be at the same time but if you are driving, Oregon has THE MOST amazing poppy fields. Think Holland with the tulips. It's breathtaking. In college I flew into Portland to meet a friend and we drove up the coast to Seattle. The whole trip was amazing but it was 15 years ago and we both still talk about those poppy fields.

I will be up north April 12-19 and we will be driving from city to city. Not sure when the poppies bloom though but I will be on the lookout!
