Pacific Northwest Trip: Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
The first day of our trip I met my sister at the airport in Seattle and we drove up to Vancouver, Canada. We stopped at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon (60 miles north of Seattle and 70 miles south of Vancouver). The traffic was INSANE but with the sun shining the tulips were a must see

The colors were even more vibrant in person!
DeleteSo gorgeous! Looks like a beautiful first stop!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of you and your sister is frame worthy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda! I just wish I had remembered to bring my sunglasses!
DeleteGreat pictures! We had planned to go the day Nolan got sick. Bummer. I haven't been in three years and we went on a Tuesday. I heard the traffic has been getting worse and worse, especially on a sunny weekend day. I can't wait to read more of your vacation recaps! I'm so sorry we didn't get to see each other!!! :(
ReplyDeleteIt was beautiful! But traffic was really awful. After hours in the car we just decided to park and walk about a mile to find the fields. I can't believe I didn't remember it was tulip festival time! And on a sunny weekend day everyone had the same idea I guess!
DeleteHopefully you guys can go next year!
Those tulips look gorgeous! Tell me you were in the Netherlands and I would totally believe you :) Kudos to you for braving the traffic and sharing this cool event!
ReplyDeleteHA! I wish we had had time to go to one of the even bigger fields that had pink tulips. Next trip I guess!
