One (nautical) Dress Three Ways

Have you seen this anchor dress from Old Navy? I saw it online but wanted to try it on before buying. Halter/sleeveless rarely looks good on me but this dress is very flattering! I can't wait to wear it this summer. Another reader, Cyndy, emailed me to check if I had seen the dress and she said the same thing. She actually bought a second dress in the red pattern (tiny sailboats).

Look 2: Daytime casual

1969 denim jacket in white, Gap, $70 | 1969 denim jacket, Gap, $70 | T strap sandal, Old Navy, $25

My sister wore the cutest jean jacket on our recent Pacific Northwest trip. It looks more put together than a sweatshirt or hoodie and is warmer than a cardigan but is not as dressy as a blazer. I think the white or traditional denim would go perfectly with this anchor dress.

I live in these Old Navy t strap sandals. I have them in gold and black from previous years. This year I ordered the coral above. I think I may get the navy and pink too. They are comfortable and hold up well

Look 3: Night time

Puff-sleeve blazer in stretchy cotton, J.Crew, $178 | 1. Halogen Mira pump, Nordstrom, $90 | 2. Michael Kors flex pump, Nordstrom, $99 | 3. Martina suede wedges, J.Crew, $228 | 4. Seville wedge espadrilles, J.Crew, $128

The J.Crew blazer comes in multiple colors so you can match navy or white with the dress or go with a different shade of blue, "blue facade" (fun name!).
