I have wanted to visit
Mystic, Connecticut since I first saw the movie
Mystic Pizza (did you know that this movie was Matt Damon's feature film debut?). Years later, while writing this blog, I received an email from the nicest couple based in Mystic (
Wendy and Mike Hille of MW Coastal Goods). It sounds like such a charming seaside town!

I literally spent all afternoon on Ancestry.com discovering all of my Connecticut roots! Let's go!!
ReplyDeleteYou know I grew up in CT...Mystic is ADORABLE. So many good shops and places to eat! Also, Mystic Aquarium is one of the cutest aquariums ever!
ReplyDeleteCan you believe I have never been?! So ashamed, I've bee spending too much time north of CT :P On my list for sure!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! You HAVE to go to Mystic! I went once on the way back to New York on a business trip and almost didn't leave! There is so much to do. Mystic Pizza is delicious, and the aquarium is a must-see. Such a wonderful place!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that you know and show pictures of MW Coastal Goods. I discovered them a few years ago and just love their fun products!

I love Mystic, and used to go every summer as a kid! I feel really lucky to live so close by. Here are a few pictures from my most recent visit: http://www.notintentonarriving.com/2014/07/weekend-wanderings-mystic-ct-and-watch.html
ReplyDeleteMystic is a great place! It definitely has the classic New England feel, and there are so many things to do and see. I recently moved to CT for my job, and have only been a few times. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather so that I can take advantage of going more often!
ReplyDeleteMystic is adorable! One of fave restaurants in CT, Go Fish is there. The seaport does a lovely holiday themed candle walk in December.
ReplyDeleteClearly I'm biased toward Connecticut though
